Warranty and Refund Policy

Computer Corner ( ABN.56 620 541 217 ) warrants that this product is free from defects in workmanship and materials for the following periods:
1) One year in respect of parts and two years in respect of labour on all Computer Corner assembled systems in the computer cases (hereafter referred to as the TOWER) contains the followings parts:
a) Central Processing Unit (hereafter referred to as the CPU)
b) Hard Disk Drive
c) Memory
d) Motherboard
e) Floppy Disk Drive
f) Video Card (onboard or separate)
g) Power Supply
2) One year on the CD-ROM, CD-WRITER, modem or any other peripherals/add-ons not specified
3) Three months on the keyboard, mouse and speakers
4) A NON Computer Corner warranty exists on Monitors, Printers and Scanners, and as such the manufacturer should be contacted as per their in-box warranty instructions. Contact details are on the Computer Corner website.
5) Any components installed inside the TOWER not mentioned in the above list are subject to our standard return to base warranty. Subject to the conditions of the warranty; if the product fails to operate for any reason within the warranty period, and the product is returned to Computer Corner at the purchaser’s expense, Computer Corner will repair or replace the unit at their own discretion free of charge.


CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
1) The product must be returned to place of purchase in the original boxes with proof of purchase.
2) The product must not have had its serial number or the Computer Corner warranty sticker removed, defaced or changed, its power cord altered, nor have been tampered with in any way.
3) Failure of the product must not be due to misuse, improper installation, connection to the wrong voltage or other abuse occasioned by the Purchaser.
4) We reserve the right to NOT warrant the power supply or any damaged caused to the CPU by the power supply unit from a Power Surge. This will only be warranted upon purchase and use of an approved surge protector from Computer Corner.
5) Computer Corner will not be responsible for damage or loss caused during shipping or other transportation..
6) Warranty will be made void if any unauthorised person opens the case to tamper with, change or otherwise meddle with the internal components.This will be evidenced by removal of or damage to the Computer Corner warranty sticker placed on the side covers.
7) A BIOS password is installed at time of assembly. This password will be released to the owner on request but we advise that by asking for the password before the warranty period is over, it is assumed that you will be performing tasks that are best performed by a qualified technician or are overclocking the computer and are therefore voiding the warranty.

EXTENT OF WARRANTY
1) This Warranty does not extend to:
a) Software, unless installation media is faulty;
b) Incompatibility with peripheral devices; other than those purchased from Computer Corner;
c) Incompatibility with or incorrect installation and configuration of software;
d) Virus’s, Spyware, Trojans and all other forms malicious softwares or programs;
e) Damage arising out of any use or operation of the product purchased, outside of the physical, electrical or environmental specifications of the product.
2) Apart from any warranties implied by the Trade Practices Act 1974 and/or Part 2 of the Sale of Goods Act (Qld) all other warranties express or implied and whether arising by virtue of statute or otherwise are hereby excluded.
Repair of any product which is found to be faulty due to abuse, misuse or improper installation by or on behalf of the purchaser shall be charged to the purchaser at the vendor’s reasonable current hourly rate.


CONDITIONS OF REFUND
Where: The purchaser changes their mind in relation to a selection; or makes a wrong selection;
If the purchaser still retains the original packing, such that the goods can be re-sold as new, then a 15% re-stocking fee will apply otherwise they will not be entitled to a refund.
Should the goods be faulty, wrongly described, different from the sample shown or do not do what they are supposed to do, the purchaser must first give Computer Corner a reasonable chance to effect repairs on the goods or rectify any miscommunications made to the purchaser. If, however, Computer Corner is unable to repair the faulty goods and/or unable to provide a suitable solution to any miscommunication in respect of goods purchased, wrongly described and/ or different from the sample shown, the purchaser is entitled to choose either:
1. A Refund; or
2. An exchange; or
3. A store credit with Computer Corner.
The value of these three options DOES NOT extend beyond the receipted price of purchase from Computer Corner
